Accomplishments
WE ARE MOST PROUD OF:
• Stopped the pending evictions of roughly 300 tenants in Northside Associates a HUD multi-family property
• Gave faces to the 300 families with over 1,400 children living in the Northside Associates' Properties
• Through education, organizing and commitment we have empowered on another (low-income families) to build a thoughtful organization and direct our own destiny
• Planned and implement a resident run neighborhood based service enriched housing model
• Own the majority equity investment in the Three Hundred plus unit Northside Associates Properties
• Developed additional quality housing and amenities in the North Side Community of Pittsburgh
• Testified before congress regarding the value of self-determination for historically disenfranchised populations.
The Northside Coalition for Fair Housing is organized around the following philosophy:
The Northside Coalition for Fair Housing is a 501c3 organization. A vehicle moving at the federal, state, and local level to inspire the North Side neighbors and neighborhoods to be more proactive regarding equity, sustainability, health and safety. We want neighborhoods that shelter and support all people no matter their race, income level or physcial ability.
